Hold the Line

Let me tell you a story.

When friends & family arrive, she presents each with a clothes pin printed with their name.  Throughout the duration of their stay they can hang their towel happily on the line & recollect as needed.

When the visitors leave she uses the named clothes pins in normal laundry.  The chore becomes communion with loved ones.

Beth shared this practice with me by telling me the story & gifting me named clothes pins.  The people I love held in the light, in the rhythms of my day.  Making the mundane magical.
